“All-Four Nations” Tournament Final Standings

USA 7-2

AUSTRALIA 5-4

CHINA 5-4

BRAZIL 1-8

ALL-TOURNAMENT DONG XIANG EVENT

MVP: Kate Thompson, 6’4 G/F, USA – Her shooting opened things up for the USA offense, had 14 points against Australia and again vs. China in the finale.

Casey Samuels, 6’0 G, Australia – Outstanding shooter who led the Dong Xiang leg in scoring with 19 vs. USA and 27 on Brazil.

Hengyu Yang, 6’5 C, China – Big post carried the China offense in the paint and had 18 points and 9 rebounds vs. the USA in the final.

Jamie Russell, 5’8 G, USA – Consistent player averaged 12.3 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 steals in Dong Xiang.  Ignited USA transition offense with her quickness.

Vanessa “Sasa”, 6’1 F, Brazil – Athletic forward had 11 points in opening game vs. USA and closed with 17 against Aussies.

Ramona, 6’0 F/G, Brazil – Explosive scorer had 26 points in Brazil’s final game against the Aussies.

Sam Ostarello, 6’2 F, USA – Recovered from illness at second stop to play very well in Dong Xiang.  12 points & 8 boards vs. Brazil, 8 points including 6 late vs. China.

2013 ALL-FOUR NATIONS TOUR TEAM

MVP – JAMIE RUSSELL – 5’8 G, USA – Only player named to all three all-star teams for each stop on tour.  Averaged 10.2 points, 4 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 2.1 steals per game for the Champion Americans.

CARLEY MIJOVIC – 6’6 F/C, AUSTRALIA – Perhaps the most outstanding individual player in the event.  Had multiple double/doubles and scored over 20 points per game throughout the early stages of the tour.  On both All-Nan’an and All-Anyuan teams.

KATE THOMPSON – 6’4 G/F, USA – Her 3-point shooting was key to the USA offensive success in the last stop, particularly against tough defense of the Aussies and Chinese.  Was MVP of the Dong Xiang stop averaging 11.3 ppg.

LI WEI – 5’10 PG, CHINA – One of the more important players to their respective teams.  Scored in double figures throughout 2nd and 3rd stops and was named all-tournament in Anyuan.

RAMONA LYRA MACEDO – 6’0 F, BRAZIL – She and Mijovic were top two scores in the event, finished with her high game of 26 against Australia.  Was all-Nan’an and all-Dong Xiang.

JACQUI KALIN – 5’8 PG, USA – Named  All-Tourney & MVP of first stop in Nan’an where she had 18 big points against the Aussies.  Averaged 10.1 points on tour and had 11 points and 5 rebounds against China in the Championship game.

CASEY SAMUELS – 6’0 SG, AUSTRALIA – Great shooter who played her best down the stretch, was all-Dong Xiang when she had 19 on USA & 27 on Brazil with 9 threes in two games.  She was on the All-Anyuan as well.
